Why I'm Doing Another Portfolio

Creating a portfolio is not a requirement for the completion of the USMx IDT200x course. However, I found that the process of writing as I progressed through the IDT100x course helped me articulate my thoughts better, and as a result, I got more from the experience. I wanted to have that again with this course.

I wanted to stretch my right-brain muscles by playing with different ways to deliver a message visually.

I like the idea of my future self being able to come back to this page to re-live my learning journey :-).

Week 4: Understanding by Design

The Understanding by Design framework offers a planning process and structure to guide curriculum, assessment, and instruction. For this week's assignment, download the UbD template and review the different scenarios in the learning module. You only need to complete the UbD template for one of the scenarios, but your responses should be detailed and should address the scenario with UbD criteria presented in this module.

BIO
Passionate about training. Has been training and facilitating since 1996. Currently a training developer, works closely with the company president. Develops training modules in the US, and travels to the Philippines a few times a year to facilitate modules and work with other facilitators in the company.
Considers training development a wonderful extension to training: it's not about taking just the participants through the journey, but taking the facilitators through it so that they can take their participants through the journey.

Remember, ADDIE is a framework that continuously changes based on the scope of the learning project and identified learning audience.
